Ballet

You can start ballet training at any age. The only real requirement is a love of dance and movement.

Why the teacher's training matters

A ballet teacher shouldn't just have excellent knowledge of ballet technique, but also a solid background in anatomy and biomechanics. That ensures they bring the necessary understanding of the body. Knowing the biomechanical fundamentals allows for individualised training, so joints, muscles and ligaments aren't overloaded.

Properly taught, ballet isn't just fun – it trains the muscles of the whole body and builds coordination, balance, musicality and body awareness.

That's exactly where my teaching differs: I trained at the State Ballet School in Berlin and danced at four opera houses – and I'm also a certified Spiraldynamik® specialist and Master Personal Trainer.

Who the classes are for

  • Adult beginners – with no prior experience whatsoever.
  • Returning dancers who danced as children and want to come back to it.
  • Pilates clients who want to build mobility and musicality.

Ballet is also one of the most worthwhile activities later in life: it challenges balance, leg strength, posture and memory all at once.
